1. Bookings

A booking is confirmed once you have completed the booking form and payment has been received. You will receive a payment receipt and a booking confirmation by email containing your course details.

It is your responsibility to make sure the contact details you provide at booking are correct. Course materials, Zoom invitations and reminders are sent to the email address and mobile number supplied.

2. Eligibility

You must meet the published eligibility requirements for the course you book. For the ACT Pre-Learner Licence Course you must be at least 15 years and 9 months of age on the day of the course. For the ACT Safer Driver Course you must have held your Learner Licence for at least three months and have been under 25 years of age when it was issued.

If you do not meet the requirements for the course you have booked, we will move you to a suitable course where one is available. Bookings cancelled because eligibility requirements are not met are treated as a learner-initiated cancellation under the policy below.

3. Cancellation policy

We understand plans change. The following applies to all courses booked with us, and notice periods are counted from the scheduled start time of your course.

• More than 7 days notice — transfer to another session free of charge, or request a full refund.
• 3 to 7 days notice — one free transfer to another session. Refunds at this stage are subject to a $30 administration fee.
• Less than 48 hours notice — the course fee is not refundable, but one transfer may be offered at our discretion where the seat can be refilled.
• Non-attendance without notice — the full course fee is forfeited and no transfer is available.
• Medical or compassionate grounds — supply supporting documentation and we will transfer or refund your booking regardless of notice given.

For the ACT Safer Driver Course, the practical session must be completed within 30 days of the online theory workshop. Practical sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, or missed, may incur a rebooking fee.

If we cancel or reschedule a course — for example because minimum numbers are not met — you will be offered a place in the next available session or a full refund, whichever you prefer.

All cancellation and transfer requests must be made in writing to contact@licencefactory.com. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

4. Course delivery

Courses are delivered live online via Zoom by ACT-approved facilitators. You will need a device with a working camera, microphone and a stable internet connection, and you must be able to participate for the full duration of the session.

Attendance and active participation for the entire course is required to be issued a certificate. Late arrival, extended absence from the session or failure to verify your identity may mean a certificate cannot be issued.

5. Certificates and knowledge tests

Certificates are issued only on successful completion of all course requirements. The ACT Pre-Learner Licence Course includes two attempts at the Road Rules Knowledge Test; further attempts are charged at $40 each, with a maximum of two attempts per day.

Certificates are presented to Access Canberra along with your proof of identity. We are not responsible for licensing decisions made by Access Canberra.

6. Conduct

We expect respectful behaviour towards facilitators and other participants. Disruptive, abusive or unsafe behaviour may result in removal from the course without refund.

7. Privacy

Personal information collected during booking is used to deliver your course, issue your certificate and meet ACT Government reporting requirements. We do not sell your information to third parties.
